Join us in downtown Oak Park on Saturday, August 17, 2019 for brews, bites and tunes at the largest zero-waste craft beer fest in the Midwest!
Enjoy a great beer festival and help raise vital funds for Seven Generations Ahead, an environmental non-profit working to promote healthy and sustainable communities.
Featuring inventive brews from 80+ of the Midwest's finest craft breweries, live music and small plates from restaurants that serve local, sustainable food, this is one of Chicagoland's top craft beer festivals of the summer.
And with nothing from the event going to landfill, by coming to our event you're doing a good thing for the planet too!
The Oak Park Micro Brew Review is a fundraising event. Tickets are non-refundable.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The venue is open and the restaurant booths sell directly to the consumers. To sample the beer you must be 21. You will need a ticket (purchase your ticket here at EventBrite) and a photo ID to get a wristband at Check-In.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is limited and not free. We recommend Metra (Oak Park stop) or the El (Harlem stop), both of which have stops in the middle of the fest. We also have a deal with Lyft. If you provide the code (SGA), new users get $5 off their first 10 rides.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What's the refund policy?
There are no refunds! We hold the fest rain or shine.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You must bring either your printed ticket or your e-ticket on your phone to get your wristband.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, log on to EventBrite to change the type of ticket you have, transfer it to a friend, etc.
Is my ticket transferrable?
The ticket can be transferred to a friend through your EventBrite account.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Your ticket and your ID need to match.
What are the differences between VIP and Iron Brewer tickets?
A VIP ticket gets you access between 12:00-1:30pm to smaller indoor venues around the fest where rare beers and food are paired. Enjoy live music, some cool shade and comraderie! You then get to enter the IRON BREWER area at 1:30 and be among the first to sip the competion brews. (see details below) At 3pm the bagpiper plays and you will be ready for the taps to open! Enjoy tastes from more than 80 brewers until the main fest ends at 7pm.
The IRON BREWER competition from 1:30-3pm pits 20 brewers against each other to see who will reign supreme! Twenty different beer styles will be randomly assigned to participants. Attendees taste to their hearts content and then vote for their favorite. An award is given each year to the winner! In 2018, Old Irving Brewing came in first place for the second year running, with Sketchbook and Exit Strategy in 2nd and 3rd. Once the main fest opens at 3pm, anyone can enter, but you will get first and perhaps the only taste! Once these beers run out, they are gone. Enjoy the main fest from 3-7pm as well, with your IRON BREWER wristband.
